Compelled by Blood is second to Compelled by the Shadows. If you haven't read it yet, I would suggest doing so because this picks up right behind the first one. The book revolves around Author and Clara, who live together in a haunted manor. Author is a vampire, and Clara wants nothing more than to become one herself. I'll stop there to avoid giving away any spoilers of the story. The author's writing style is easy to read, and she provides dual perspectives of the characters, which is one of my favorite styles. The story doesn't end on a cliffhanger, providing an opportunity to grow if she chooses to go in that direction. This was a quick read and I would recommend.
