Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds

Excellent narrator. Jack meets Kate at a party one night, and falls hard. Unfortunately, Kate has a life-threatening illness, which is not revealed until halfway through the book. Somehow, after Kate's death, Jack gets thrown back in time to the same moment, which he lives over and over again. Can he make the right choices to end the loop? I didn't necessarily understand why Jack was so into Kate, but if I accept that premise, it's a good story. It's just hard for adult me to see myself doing what Jack does. Maybe I'm just not romantic enough. I do think this story is important as a normal story with people of color in the lead roles and it's not an issue book.
