This book starts as a children's novel and finishes as adult fiction.
Don't let yourself be fooled by the innocent vocabulary of this storyteller.

This book left me feeling more confused than anything else. Confused with what actually happened right at the end. Confused with how I had not foreseen a lot of the plot twists. Confused just generally by what on earth the message was.
But it was powerful. This story leaves a mark on the reader, and changes you slightly. Just like every good book should.

I don't want to spoil anything, so I'm just going to recommend that you read it... and determine what you think of it yourself.
