Four Letter Word is the first book in the contemporary romance series, Dirty Deeds by author J. Daniels.I freakin' loved Four Letter Word. (on a side note, this is the second book I have read in a week where the guy character loves crosswords puzzles. It is so adorable in a way I didn't even know existed. Brian makes me want to buy a puzzle book, because maybe some hot guy will start texting me asking me to help him solve clues. ) Either way, Four Letter Word easily makes my favorite books of 2016 list. Brian and Sydney are explosive and hilarious and fantastic together. This is the was my first book by J. Daniels and I am already hooked. She drew me into this story so much so I was actually was waiting for the next text just like Syd and Brian. I neglected my actual phone while reading Four Letter Word. And that is really saying something.

Four Letter Word is told in dual narrative between Brian and Sydney. I knew their interaction would start off with a mistaken phone call where Syd lets into the guy she thinks screwed over her best friend, but hot damn. I didn't really think she would let into Brian like she did. I mean, she really let him have it. It was hilarious. And I loved that it was that crazy phone call that has Brian hooked enough to want to text her the next day. And the rest, as they say is history.
What I loved about Four Letter Word were the close run-ins they kept having. I know it is not the most predictable situation in the world. You dial a wrong number. and then the person on the other end of the line hits it off with you...and you both happen to be in the same town. but man, oh man was it fun to read about. I had a blast with Four Letter Word. I loved watching Brian and Sydney get to know each other. Their conversations were all kinds of cute and adorable. It made this book the fantastic read that it is.
Bottom line: I don't know what it is about Four Letter Word but the combination of the situation, the characters and the writing make this book a smash hit for me. My cheeks actually hurt from smiling so much while reading Four Letter Word. It brought me back to the start of an exciting relationship. In the getting to know you phase. It is just super exhilarating and exciting. This book made me happy. I can't recommend it enough. My only question now is, which J. Daniels book should I read next? Because I need more.
