I really, really enjoyed this! It's taken a long time for me to finally pick up a Sarah J. Maas book - and not for any other reason than the fact that it just always took a back seat to other books and other series.

After a slow start and me not really feeling super invested in the story, I totally got swept up in the world, the characters and the relationships that were forming. I think that Celaena was a really great main character and I thoroughly enjoyed watching her flourish throughout the length of the novel.

I am so split between Dorian and Chaol though - they both had so many intriguing elements about them that made me love them. I can't wait to see how their characters progress in the next novels.

I can't wait to pick up the next book soon!!
