I really enjoyed reading this book! Queenie is a complex character and grows so much throughout this book! Her friendships were my favorite part and she had loyal and supportive friends that loved her through her struggles.
Some parts of this book made me uncomfortable but that was on purpose by the author to show us what POC go through and she did amazing at it. The author showed us what ‘casual racism’ looks like in the workplace, families and social circles. I learned so much from this book and I highly recommend it!
