I Dared the Duke by Anna Bennett
3.0

There are times when I go reading the Regency books back to back. This is one of those times.
I liked Beth. She was good, kind and witty. One line described her perfectly- "I need to be needed."
Alex was introduced as an arrogant ass, but layers were gradually peeled to show his insecurities and flaws. It made him more likable and real.

The killer wasn't much of a suspense for me because around half the book I guessed it would be someone they did not suspect. A few more pages and I was sure who it was.

The friendship between Alex and Beth progressed pretty well with romance thrown in. The grandmother was a lovable character.

Overall a good book. Can read it more than once.
