Beautifully Broken Life
by Catherine Cowles
This was probably my favorite in the series! Tessa has been on the run from an abusive fiancee for the past two years. She doesn't like attention, especially from any males, and enjoys her job in the small town she's been living in. Liam is also hiding out, but he is hiding out because he is a famous musician and stuck in a rut with this music. But the moment he sees Tessa, she becomes his muse and he is inspired again. The more time he spends with Tessa, the more he starts to fall for her and the more Tessa confides in him. Liam was so patient with Tessa and showed her that not all men are out to hurt her, and that he just wanted to see her happy. I enjoyed how protective Liam was over Tessa and how Tessa slowly started to trust Liam with her secrets and her heart. The small town setting was perfect and, of course, there was a bit of suspense at the end to keep us on the edge of our seat. I'm excited for Tuck and Jensen's story next!
