Heading to London to convince Lord Dalton in person, Thea's plans to live out her life cataloging art are ruined when Lord Dalton (thinking she is off to trap him in marriage) makes her the belle of the ball.
Thea must have her revenge, and sets off to ruin herself, a task she finds is a bit more easily accomplished once she is swept up in a revenge scheme with Lord Dalton himself.
