We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us Against
by Nicholas von Hoffman
challenging
medium-paced
I didn’t love the writing style of this book. I thought the newspaper clippings were a nice touch, but I didn’t like how they were integrated. What I did really like was how it humanized the hippies of the Haight. Instead of vague historical characters, they became real people, with their own stories, flaws, and prejudices, and they changed the world.
