I very much enjoyed the concept of this book and the magical realism aspect. Every night when Alice is asleep, she has crazy adventures in her dreams with Max. Once she switches schools, the boy of her dreams - Max - appears to be a real person.

I liked the magical realism. Alice and Max met thus they are losing their minds, literally, with dreams bleeding into real life? Sure, that sounds very cool. However, some things like the alpaca farm felt very random to me. I am not exactly sure well. But it was a good random, I guess.

Furthermore, I had some issues with the ending. From Max saying that they are too different at the elevator to changing his mind... I just wish they had a better conversation about it.
