The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
4.0

4,5/5. This was a good one. Maybe a bit «younger» than I thought. I thought I was going into an adult novel, but this felt way more like a coming of age or YA (in the good actual sense of it, without the stupid tropes or clichés), which isn't a bad thing but just be advise. I did enjoy the writing, the ambiance, the weird and unsafe vibe that we felt going through with the teenage girl (not saying too much here...), but I would have like to felt a bit more the Alaska and time ambiance, we felt it a lot on some elements (the isolation, the vast space, etc.) but not much on other (the climate, the year, etc.).

(MILD SPOILER COMING BE ADVISE)

Overall this was more about domestic abuse than on living the isolate Alaskan life.

Not at all what I was expecting going into it, but a well done novel, that I enjoy and that grip me until the end (I was so worry for that girl and cheering for her to get out and have and «happy ending/life»).

I would recommend it!
