Red Hood's Revenge by Jim C. Hines
5.0

I'm going to be honest I gave the book five stars because Talia is my favorite character and this book is pretty much Talia-centric. It made me happy.

Also The Lady of The Red Hood was a BAMF. I'm not going to spoil what Jim C. Hines does with her character but it was such an original departure from what we normally see with a little red riding hood character.

We also see some forward motion carry over from [b:The Mermaid's Madness|6333584|The Mermaid's Madness (Princess, #2)|Jim C. Hines|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1305016508s/6333584.jpg|6519338] now that Snow knows about Talia's feelings.

In Red Hood's Revenge we see Talia returning to her homeland with Snow, Danielle plus a certain assassin. We get some more fabulous world building as we explore the religion and fairy/human relationships which are very different from what we've seen thus far. Also Talia back story, and thwarting a plan to awaken an old evil. I'm for it.

It might be ridiculous to be so spoiler conscious three books in, I know, but I actually read reviews on all the books in a series before I buy the first book. Because nothing sucks more than starting a series and then hating it halfway through. Or hating the ending (I'm not naming names *cough*GemmaDoyle*cough*)

If you read the first two Princess novels and liked them you will probably like this book. Unless you hate Talia in which case something is wrong with you.

If you have not read the first two books, the first is called [b:The Stepsister Scheme|3598195|The Stepsister Scheme (Princess, #1)|Jim C. Hines|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1305016198s/3598195.jpg|3640889] and I suggest you buy it immediately.
