The Last Thing He Told Me is a fast paced mystery. I really enjoyed how relatable most of the characters were. There are a few flash backs that helps add to the plot. This book starts off pretty strong and then slows as it progresses but overall I was dedicated to finding out how this book ends.

Owen is a man who's living a lie and when he leaves a two word message to his wife, Hannah, after disappearing, it is up to her and her step daughter, Bailey, to figure out what happened. Owen is caught up in fraudulent activity at his company and in order to protect his family he runs. Hannah finds out about Owen's past and Bailey learns what she knows about herself is not what is true. Both unite and work together for the one man they both love.

Laura Dave gave this book a few different elements that I highly appreciated. On top of a good mystery I loved the way Hannah and Bailey's relationship developed, the kind of sacrifices Owen took to care for his family, and the bit of adventure that kept me reading. I liked this book a lot.
