I had a great time with this novel and its characters. I was worried this would just be another run-of-the-mill novel with fangs. But the plot pleasantly surprised me. It felt bigger, and although fresh and new, it had that epic classic vibe with big battles and mass deaths.
Spoilers //
The fact that the ‘main’ character is in every way the least important when it comes to skill and bringing something to the table. Thank you.
The fact that the smallest of the trio, the softly spoken, kind-hearted little female vampire is actually the most powerful and considered the ‘muscle’. Thank you.
The fact that Malekh. Just Malekh. Thank you.
