Wolf by Wolf

This book moved too slowly for me. It has taken me months to finish because it dragged so much, which is NOT what you want from a book that centers around a RACE! It was like The Hunger Games if everyone just sat around and schemed and all their plans were half-assed to begin with. The "love interest" was boring and unnecessary. The only exciting bit happened in the last 15 minutes--why couldn't the rest of the book have been like the last three chapters? I started out loving the prose of this book (and I will stand by the fact that Graudin had a great concept and writes lyrically) but the plot just wasn't there, it was not executed well at all. I think there should have been a personal journey for Yael and unfortunately, it all got lost in her mission. Yes, logically a young Jewess from the concentration camps would want to kill Hitler but that never came across emotionally. It all seemed very dry. Where was Yael's rage?
Very disappointing read for such a cool premise.
