A totally joyous audiobook, voiced by Meryl Streep, which kept me in rowdy & raucous company during a long drive. It was everything I wanted in a lighthearted romp through Rachel’s unfortunate circumstances. The entirety is her response to finding out her husband is carrying on an affair with a friend (this after her first philandering husband did the same, with her best friend) while she is 7 months pregnant with their second child. Rachel is a strident though prudish woman who is a minor celebrity chef, writing this book like her others, part cookbook, part memoir— all delectable drama!
