I loved the take on Cinderella in this story. In most, because it didn't follow closely to the Disney version. I love, love, love the Disney version, but I would have felt like it was the same old same old if Malinda Lo had stuck to that version.

What a story of hope and changing your life path. Things are not all what they seem... Ash longs to be brought into the fairy life because she believes it will end her days as a servant and bring her closer to the stories her mother told her as a child. But then her relationship and love of Kaisa makes her realize that there is more to be than she had imagined life could hold for her.
