The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy
2.0

This books has been on my list to read for longer than I can remember. The premise of a new mother’s group dealing with a missing child is not only intriguing, but is close enough to a real life possibility that it amps up the creepy factor. Unfortunately, this book just didn’t deliver any of that. While each of the May Mothers had their secrets, all of which are eventually uncovered over the course of the story, but everything moves so slow that I felt more drained than intrigued by the book. Even the reveal at the end just could’ve save this for me. Honestly, I probably only made it through because I was listening to the audiobook.
