So You Want to Talk About Race
by Ijeoma Oluo
This was great! It was nice to read after "White Fragility". Here, you get someone who is living it, telling you their experience while dropping facts and statistics. It's a great mix of informative and personal. Adding a lived experience made it a little more difficult to digest because you're also processing her experiences and the emotions that were there. It's just as important but I had to slow down when reading it. Ms. Oluo is a great writer. Her writing reminds me of a friend just talking, which works for this material.
