3.5 stars!

I don't regret reading this at all, but it was very slow at the beginning. The world building was interesting, the magic system had potential, but I don't feel like we got to see much of it all until the very end. The romance seemed too instant and one sided, and I just really wished we saw more of Alizeh's powers. I am not a big fan of Cinderella, but this version of a Persian retelling was really interesting. The Villains in this book were the most interesting, while our main character's still have some mystery about them (hopefully we will get more in book 2).

I am planning on taking a little break and then reading the next book. Based on the ending,  I have high hopes that there will be more drama, action & magic.
