This one took me a bit to get in to, but once it got going, I didn't want to put it down. This small-town, second-chance romance was way more than I expected from the sweet cover. Rory and Wyatt are childhood loves whose story got cut short suddenly when Rory left for NYC. She returns after years to take care of her mother, and despite trying to keep her distance, the chemistry between her and Wyatt has only increased since she's been gone. The story and characters all felt very relatable and Madison did a great job of building the community of Smoky Heights. While we mostly read romance books for the main characters, I really enjoyed the supporting cast in this one. The MCs friends and families really helped to round out this story and help the characters grow. Looking forward to seeing more stories out of Smoky Heights!
