Icebound Rivals
by Hayden Hall
“He was my beacon of light. We touched and magic swirled around us.”
To say I swooned with these two is an understatement but also the hurt was more palpable the further I got in this book.
Avery & Gray are like puzzle pieces and they fit together and click just right.
I have wanted Avery's story since Book 1 and now that I got it, it explains so much.
These two are opposites in every way but they make it work.
The introvert to the extrovert..
Grumpy to sunshine..
Rivals to so much more..
Both longing for acceptance in different ways..
I absolutely loved every word of this book, these two had me smiling so much then crying. Both characters created the space to just feel and make it so it wasn't a bad thing but a good thing. Getting to know someone first can make for the most beautiful stories but in the end someone ends up getting hurt beyond measure.
This book had little bits of everything, I did love how there was more focus on the couple and relationship building with just sprinkles of hockey throughout. Add in the spicy bits and some emotions and you got it.
I cannot wait for Rebels because honestly I am soo excited to get their story. I know I will be surprised by it just like I was with Avery & Grayson.
