Fat Girl: April Flores
by Carlos Batts
4 Stars
I, myself am a “fat girl” so I had reason to be intrigued by this book. This book is a coffee table collection of photographer Carlos Batts wife April Flores. Each chapter is introduced by April discussing her life journey of self discovery and becoming happy with herself as a “fat girl”. The photographs range from high glamour studio shots to polaroids of everyday life. The book is rife with nudity some very graphic and sensual. My favorite are the studio shots. The first photograph standing on the stairs wrapped in tulle I love and wish it was me in the picture. Then it would proudly hang in my boudoir.
