If this wasn’t a book for my book club, I would not have picked it up. I’m not necessarily mad I read it, but I have no desire to read it again. It felt very braggadocios and self serving, simultaneously negative towards men and somehow still treating women as objects. Honestly if it had leaned more fully into the alien possibility I would probably have liked it more.
