paddlefoot55 's review for:
Reservations
by Kindle Alexander, Jae Ashley
ARC received for an honest review
A new Kindle Alexander book - let me at it.
I have adored all the KA books I have read to date, so it was a no brainer to pick up Reservations.
And whilst I liked it, I didn't love love love it like I have their other works (oy that pains me to say!)
I freaking adore Levi from the minute we first meet him. He is smart and sexy, and more than a little reserved. When he is with his brothers, sigh, my heart ached for him, but also grew with so much love and respect for him.
Thane. Hmmm, well I did have my issues with him. He is kind of a spoiled brat when he doesn't get his way, then steamrolls over everyone who doesn't fall at his feet.
He is a bit of an ass. And I love Levi all the more for standing up to him.
Now I am going to say something I never ever though I would say...
I found Reservations a little too wordy. Gasp, I know what you are thinking. It is just to me that there was some things that just seemed to loop, and the story would have felt better if 40 or 50 pages were cut - but this is probably just me.
Levi's brothers are the awesome and I hope we get more of them in the future somewhere.
I loved the characters from KA's other books making an appearance. We got glimpses of Arik and Kellus, and Dylan and Tristan. And my favourite secondary character from other books and this one Julian.
I can't wait for Julian's story.
Bring it on, Kindle Alexander.
