A Heart So Fierce and Broken
by Brigid Kemmerer
“Ah yes, the most dangerous person at the party is always the girl sitting alone with a book.”

I feel like I enjoyed this book much more than the first one. Mainly because I loved Grey and now, I got to read a book about him! I did really miss Harper’s POV because I loved her character.
I started to question her a little bit in this one though, Rhen was horrible in this book and I didn’t really care for him in the first one either, he does such stupid stuff and Harper keeps defending him. Which I get, because she loves him, but I wish we read more about how Harper handled being with him when the others were gone. Because what I loved about the first book was that Harper knew how to put Rhen in his place, that element was pretty much gone in this one.

I love Lia Mara although her insecurities sometimes got annoying and I just wanted to scream in her face, telling her how awesome she is. But I loved her and I relate to her A LOT (I get annoyed at myself sometimes as well so it’s okay to sometimes get annoyed with her) She is so pure yet fierce and the ending was soooooooo cool. I kind of expected it to happen, but not exactly in the way I thought it would, so I’m happy there was a little surprise element left.

Grey has so much more personality than Rhen. He constantly tries to protect everyone he cares for while trying to act that he doesn’t care that much, but he does. Eve when he doesn’t like a decision, if it’s the best one, he will take it.
-
I can’t wait to see what happens next, I really wouldn’t mind if there were three more books about Lia Mara and Grey with their squad. I loved the adventures and relationship building they had going on. It was such an enjoyable, fun and thrilling read!
