I loved the references to Greek mythology (this has been the year of reading Percy Jackson and modern Greek retellings for me), and I loved NEVER KNOWING who "the" villain was. I was fascinated by The Silent Patient, and was subsequently fascinated by this one as well. Parts were infuriating, parts had me on my toes, but all of it was exactly what I needed.
