Not enough spice in your classic lit? Charlotte St. James solves a problem we didn’t know we had.
I’d like to stress that there are trigger warnings for this book. Please make sure you read them before starting this book.
We follow Dante as she traverses each circle of Hell in search of Lucifer. She starts her journey in Limbo and quickly learns that Hell and its Generals aren’t what she thought. As she sees the changes in herself throughout her journey, she wonders how Hell changed Lucifer and if he will love her regardless.
This was my first book by Charlotte St. James and I regret not starting it the same day I bought it. The language she uses helps the reader to really envision the environment and characters. Every circle of Hell is unique and designed to fit the General that resides there. My only real complaint is that it ended.
Not sure if you should read this book? Do you like spice? Dark romance? Classic literature retellings? Then do yourself a favour and read this book.
