I've been really struggling to get through books in the last couple of weeks so I've made the executive decision to stop reading something pretty quickly after I've lost interest. I have so little energy to dread and forcing myself to get through a book that's just okay has been a drag. 

Overall Himawari House while inoffensive just wasn't capturing my attention. I could vaguely connect to the themes of being disconnected from your birth country and the first-generation immigrant vibes but it just didn't have that oomph that drove me to pick it up after putting it down.
