The Wild Storm Vol. 3 by Warren Ellis
4.0

Despite being the weakest entry in the series so far, it still remains highly entertaining.

We have John Lynch on a journey across america finding all his old comrades, or experiments, and warning them what is coming will end them. It's actually small stories of each character that push this volume to the next level. On top of that we are pushing the building blocks to the all out war that is about to explode by the end of this volume. We also building up the Authority to return. Everything is coming to a clash but this is the build up to that.

And being that it is a build up, it can feel a little slow and also feel a little "empty" in the sense the big "moments" don't happen here. Saying that, the stuff with John Lynch is amazing and emotional, even though I don't know most of these characters. I feel that reading old Stormwatch and Authority will help make this series even better. However, the ending is a great "oh shit" moment and the art remains great with some of the best fight scenes in comics.

Overall, still a great volume. Weakest on of the series but saying that it is still a 3.5-4 out of 5.
