I absolutely love selkies, so I was very excited to receive this book! The Book of Selkie is a beautiful and charming story. For children or parents who love learning about mythical creatures, this is the perfect introduction to selkies. The Book of Selkie explores what selkies eat, where they live, and what they do all day! The prose is lyrical and descriptive. The illustrations are stunning, clearly done with immense care. The use of light and cool tones creates the sense of being underwater, immersed in an ocean where selkies roam. I would highly recommend this book for anyone, regardless of age.
