The Hunting Party
by Lucy Foley
(2.5 stars)
Lucy Foley's thrillers seem to follow the same plot line. They have:
- An isolated location.
- A group of "friends" who don't actually like each other.
- Characters from a privileged background with elitist education - which is constantly brought up.
- Constant "I remember this" scenes from years before the setting of the book.
- Different points of view.
- The victim not being revealed until towards the end.
- A lot of telling and little to no showing.
If you've read The Guest List you don't need to read The Hunting Party and visa versa. It's a bit dull to rehash the same plot.
