I enjoyed this book. There is a lot that I could relate to, but enough that was out of my norm and interesting so I was kept engaged in the story the whole time.
I liked the photography aspect because of my own interest in photography. But I'm not much of a traveler. Not from lack of desire, but from lack of funds and opportunity. Therefore, it was nice to read about Harper's travels and sort of live vicariously. I loved the descriptions of the places she went and the people she met and witnessed in her adventures. I especially loved her "voice" when it came to her photography and getting shots of the connections between people.
The romance part of the story is rather secondary, and that's not all that common in the books I normally read. I found it refreshing to follow a tale about a woman trying to find her passion in life rather than love, but still managing to find both. I also love how it wasn't all wrapped up in a pretty "they lived happily ever after" scenario. It was realistic within the story line of the book.
*I was blessed with a galley copy of this book, which I voluntarily have reviewed.*
