Annihilation

That very easily could have been a short story or a novella. In fact it very much should have been. I wanted this to be good, I wanted to love it more than I did. There were times I was lulled into the story, times where I was swept up in the moment only to be pulled right back out again with the next paragraph or page.
The story concept itself is intriguing, it’s the execution that falters. I have no issue with stream of conscious writing, there are many books I’ve read in this style. It just felt this time that there was so much extra to reach a specific page count rather than provide any decent plot.
