The Darkest Minds
by Alexandra Bracken
This is one of the oldest adds to my TBR and after seeing the movie I've been eyeing this at the library so many times but I've always had other books to read. But I finally got there.
idk about you, but nowadays I'm pretty hesitant to read YA from the early 2010's. There's just something about it that doesn't really speak to me anymore. But this is solid.
I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. I was kind of worried that I would never finish this 500 page monster but I got there so quickly. I was flying through the pages! I bet some of the newer readers haven't even heard of this one and even if you have you probably aren't considering this for your next read, but if you want to go back to the dystopian YA, I would recommend this.
