A dark challenging distopianesque read. Graphic and with its own language. I struggled the first 4 chapters but found an accompanying dictionary of what the words meant which was helpful. In the end I listened and read together and seeing the film helped. 
Violence, SA, r**e, all pretty descriptive but I guess most people who choose to read this book know what to expect. 
Glad I read it eventually although tbh, I preferred the film.
