After reading the authors previous book, The Nothing Man, I joined a tandem readalong for this book.
I found it still quite weird to read about life in the midst of covid, as it doesn’t feel far enough away but still, I quite enjoyed it.
I really like the time jump from today to 56 days ago, counting down towards the present day. I particularly liked it when we went back again to 56 days ago and started to see it all from the other characters perspective.
That really made a huge difference in my existing thoughts and theories. Completely threw all my thoughts out the window and got me theorising some more. By the end I had no clue and I hadn’t guessed in the slightest.
Overall, it was an enjoyable book. I’m not sure I’d be in a rush to read another book set in covid times anytime soon but it was nice to read a thriller as it’s been a long time since my last one.
