Came for the beautiful cover and stayed for the growth of the characters. The story was witchy and magical and alluring. The character arcs were lovely to watch and I enjoyed the "this isn't the end" ending the book had regarding the changes. The world building was fine and easy to understand. The romance was ok but I could've done with less. Overall, it was a good story but it just felt... similar to other fantasies and it didn't stand out too much. I'll give it a 3.75 rating though because what I did like was strong.
