I was obsessed with this book as a kid. I must have reread it at least a dozen times. Now, rereading it as an adult, there are some things that bother me. The world building is amazing, but there is some misogyny in here that isn't addressed, and it just rubs me the wrong way. The main male lead is a bit cringe in how he thinks about women and in how he treats the protagonist, Lessa.
