📚Read Method: Kindle eBook ARC

✨Initial Reaction: I very much enjoyed Book 1 Fated Unkindness and while it ended on a sad cliffhanger, Eclipse of Fate really and truly brings you back in.

✨Final Reaction: Everything hurts. The characters written by Blake Gallows show so much emotion, starting with page 15, my heart is ripped out. I really love how many points of view we get to absorbed as much information as possible. There are twists, turns, and rugs ripped out from under you. "Every smile I can get from her is like witnessing a solar eclipse" followed quickly by "I mean, if I knew you ate like an animal, then I could just feed you from a bowl on the floor". There's perfect comedic relief by the side characters that just makes me love them so much. I swear if Blake does anything to my sweet babies in book 3, Moon Raven Rising, I will revolt.

And I hope I won't regret this, but I think I've fallen for the **spoiler**! villain. He is just a tortured soul and I hope he is forgiven for everything, even though I know he can't be. "I refuse to live another day in the depravity of this wretched life I've come to loathe. I was used and abused my entire life. I've done things that are enough for my death ten times over, but I hope that I can talk to Raelle and prove that I have information that will help them.

💖Quotes:

🤣"I wouldn't do that again" "Do what?" "Make my dick twitch"

😂"What the hell, woman! Stop acting like a feral animal!"

🥵"I can't wait until next time, little creature. But I promise you, your punishment will be much more satisfying." I wink, then launch into the night sky.

💘"Use your strongest instinct, Trent. You have always been the one of us to follow your heart. Don't stop now when we are all calloused and cold. You will always be the fire that warms us. You will always be what brings us back together."

And the following is a huge spoiler:
And the part that broke me, the part that made me cry at 2am in my bed. 😭"Please give me something to know you're alive. I know in my bones that it's true, but please. Tell me I'm not imagining this." I hope that I'm not going mad in this dungeon, but I almost think I felt her breath brush my skin. Just in case I'm not going mad, I decide to use my mind to speak what I would, as though she is standing right in front of me. "I'm alive, my love. Just barely, but I will hold on to anything I can until I am able to return to you." Her eyes widen, and tears well and fall across her cheeks. She heard the words that I thought--she had to have. I feel my body weakening further, but I hold on as long as I can, needing to keep her with me as long as possible--to continue watching her and feeling her presence. 😭
