A bit darker than common stock of contemporary yaoi as the MC in this book has a lot of internalized homophobia that he struggles and fails to deal with. It's a better conflict than these stories usually come up for why their might be mutual pining going on, but it doesn't make for a particular fun story to read and the MC is sometimes a real jerk. That being said, it wasn't a bad story. It did feel a bit like it wrapped up too neatly though.
Minor: Homophobia, Toxic relationship, Gaslighting
