The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
5.0

Read #4 -- Not sure why I was called back to this book again this week but I was. Lucy Hutton is genuinely one of the weirdest romance characters I've ever read, which I think is something I really like about this book. She's not "not like other girls" she's actually genuinely a very unique character which is so rare in the romance genre.

Read #3 -- It's February and I find myself incapable of finishing anything that isn't romance or contemporary so I decided to lean into it and reread one of my favorite romances from last year and it's still so so good.

Read #2 — it’s been less than a month but here I am coming back for the first book I’ve read twice in 2019.

Read #1 — Surprisingly extremely good? I, like most, read contemporary romance primarily as escapism and never really expect the stories to stick with me or for anything more than a few hours of cheap entertainment when I'm in that kind of mood.

However, The Hating Game did stick with me, and I'm kind of shocked. I'm not sure exactly what it is about this book that makes it so much better than most others in the genre but...it just is?
