Spicy, but missing some depth

I went into this hoping it would give me a similar feel to Lords of Pain by Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue. It's spicy, but I wanted more depth from the characters. I understand that the plot leads to the big reveal for the future books, explaining what happened to Scarlett and why the four horsemen treat her the way they do. However, I felt that it didn't do enough to build up Scarlett as a character.

She spent the first part of the book being nervous about being around them and then immediately becomes open to everything they want to do after one night.
