Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
by Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman
I have watched the show twice, and I absolutely loved it. It's one of my favorite shows, maybe even a 'comfort show'. So I was really excited to finally read the book. Normally I'd read the book before watching the adaptation, but at the time I first watched the show, I wasn't aware it was based on a book.
The first part I was very positive. I loved seeing these characters again and recognizing so many things from the show. The show adaptation is maybe the only adaptation I've seen that 98% follows the book. Almost no changes. I liked this.
But then... I don't know, I lost interest? While I loved the chaotic story in the show, the fact that it's all over the place, in the book it got kinda boring? I wasn't really enjoying it anymore, and had to force myself to continue reading. (I refused to DNF it because my love for the show and how much I have wanted to read this book)
It was a little bit disappointing. But in the end I don't regret reading it. It actually made me want to watch the show a third time...
