Ice Planet Barbarians

» QUICK OVERVIEW «
Stars: ★★★★☆
Plot: ★★★★☆
Readability: ★★★★★
Characters: ★★★☆☆
Writing: ★★★★☆

» PLOT «
Georgie and a group of other young women have been abducted by aliens But as the aliens face ship trouble, and they've decided to leave their cargo of human women--including Georgie--on an dangerous ice planet.
i actually like this book. like more than i thought i would.
while writing this review, i've already read a few books after this, and i now know that this book is (so far) the best. the introduction of a new series with the new characters and their interactions is far better than the interactions we get later on when everything is settled. basically after everyone is settled in, there is no danger and there are no longer any "big" stakes that make the story interesting outside of the smut. the danger, world building, and the unknown made this book really interesting and more so compared to the next book.
» READABILITY «
although i read this via an audiobook, i see why this book is an easy read and why the series is so binge-able.
» CHARACTERS «
i actually like the main character more than i thought i would. the other characters are fine, but Georgie really pulls it all together. without her, i don't think this would've been 4 stars.
» WRITING «
this book (and the following books) are written in a way that is incredibly easy to read/listen to.
also, why do they have to refer to the planet as "not Hoth" and the Khui as "cooties"???
» OVERALL «
this book was surprisingly good, and i will be reading the rest of the series
