I did a book report on this book in grade 6. This resulted in my grade 6 teacher calling my parents and tattling on me (or so he thought). My dad already knew I was reading it he was the one who got it for me and he is the one who thought I would like it. My daughter is currently in grade 5 and I cannot imagine handing her this book to read but that is a whole different story lol. I my teacher then took me aside and said if I could answer his questions about the book then he would know I was understanding the book and actually reading it. We had a 2 hour long talk about the book and he realized I knew more about the book than he did. It is still one of my favourite reading memories growing up.
