A Table by the Window: A Novel of Family Secrets and Heirloom Recipes
by Hillary Manton Lodge
My favorite aspect of this book was the mixing of different countries of origin in their ancestry and how that affects the family in the present - that was realistic and not often dealt with in books like this. Most plot and character details felt obvious or stereotyped, but this was still a fairly good light read overall. Relaxing, full of food and family, without much actual conflict that doesn't get quickly resolved perfectly.
