This historical romance by Anna Bennet was a delightful and slow burn until it got hot about half-way through Historical Romance.

Miss Sophie Kendall, while running underground meetings of Debutante Underground, where females from all classes come together can talk about men, and they are becoming too popular and needs more space. She finds herself looking for a bigger space and happens to find a vacant tailor shop and the Earl of Warshire, Henry Reese, spending time in his building that he owns. He's there because sleep doesn't come to the newly titled Lord after the death of his older brother, and memories of his time military service keep him up at night.

She walks in, thinking it is empty, and she wants to see the space. Henry watches her, and they strike a conversation that makes her realize that Henry has demons that are keeping his mind turning instead of sleeping and makes valerian tea to help him sleep. He wakes up in a chair in the tailor shop and realizes it just wasn't the tea that helped him sleep.

He finds her and asks for one night a week to come to his estate to help him sleep. Rules made, no touching being the most important one that both want to break immediately.

Unfortunately for Sophie, she becomes engaged to a man that can cure all her family troubles while she does not love him, but she does it for the good of the family.

The story seems reasonably unplausible even for a historical romance. The heroine away for her house for days, spending a night a week at Warshire estate without no one knowing, the amount her running around is far fetched. It was a sweet story about realizing who and what you need in your life with a HEA.
