Romeo and Juliet
by William Shakespeare
➕ IF YOU LIKE SHAKESPEARE STOP HERE. ➕
Technically I won't finish this until tomorrow, as my class is only on Act V Scene iii, but I'm reviewing it now. My opinion won't change in the final scene. I knew how it went before starting it (who doesn't?) and didn't care much about the details I learned. Honestly, I think reading this was unnecessary. I much rather would've watched "Gnomeo and Juliet," or even the Leonardo DiCaprio adaptation of the play. It would've gotten the point across just as easily.
Main issues I had:
• Juliet is crazy.
• The Capulets are terrible parents.
• Romeo and Paris are both creepers.
• It can be summed up in 5 words: family feud, forbidden romance, death.
